healthy lifestyle

Exercise and Fitness

Physical inactivity is a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease, and most Americans are not physically active enough to gain any health benefits. Swimming, cycling, jogging, skiing, aerobic dancing, walking or many other activities can help your heart. Whether it's included in a structured exercise program or part of your daily routine, all physical activity adds up to a healthier heart.

Tips for Exercise Success

Swimming, cycling, jogging, skiing, aerobic dancing, walking or any of dozens of other activities can help your heart.  They all cause you to feel warm, perspire and breathe heavily without being out of breath and without feeling any burning sensation in your muscles.  Whether it is a structured exercise program or just part of your daily routine, all exercise adds up to a healthier heart.

Here are some tips for exercise success:

  • If you've been sedentary for a long time, are overweight, have a high risk of coronary heart disease or some other chronic health problem, see your doctor for a medical evaluation before beginning a physical activity program.
  • Choose activities that are fun, not exhausting.  Add variety.  Develop a repertoire of several activities that you can enjoy.  That way, exercise will never seem boring or routine.
  • Wear comfortable, properly fitted footwear and comfortable, loose-fitting clothing appropriate for the weather and the activity.
  • Find a convenient time and place to do activities.  Try to make it a habit, but be flexible. If you miss an exercise opportunity, work activity into your day another way.
  • Use music to keep you entertained.
  • Surround yourself with supportive people.  Decide what kind of support you need.  Do you want them to remind you to exercise?  Ask about your progress?  Participate with you regularly or occasionally?  Allow you time to exercise by yourself?  Go with you to a special event, such as a 10K walk/run?  Be understanding when you get up early to exercise? Spend time with the children while you exercise? Try not to ask you to change your exercise routine?  Share your activity time with others.  Make a date with a family member, friend or co-worker.  Be an active role model for your children.
  • Don't overdo it.  Do low- to moderate-level activities, especially at first.  You can slowly increase the duration and intensity of your activities as you become more fit.  Over time, work up to exercising on most days of the week for 30-60 minutes.
  • Keep a record of your activities.  Reward yourself at special milestones.  Nothing motivates like success!
  • Please try it for a while in ur life!!!

child abduction

Child abduction is a serious problem in today's world. Abduction by strangers is not the only type of abduction. Parental abduction is a large and growing form of child abduction. The website's goal is to provide a major resource of information for parents who have been victimized by the child abductor. You may be living a parents worst nightmare, but you are not alone. Information empowers and breeds hope. Never give up.

The functioning of 17 children who had been abducted by one parent but subsequently returned was examined. The parent to whom the child was returned completed a behavior rating scale on the child for each of three time periods: pre-abduction, immediately post-abduction, and follow-up (the present time). The parents also completed a measure regarding the coping strategy they utilized while the child was missing and a measure of their own functioning at each of three times: pre-abduction, during the abduction, and follow-up.

The results indicated that the child was rated as functioning worse immediately post-abduction than at pre-abduction and at follow-up was functioning between that reported at pre-abduction and post-abduction. However, the level of maladjustment was not in the severe range at any of the assessments. Parents reported using a problem-focused or action style of coping. Parents also reported that their psychological functioning decreased during abduction and then improved at follow-up. Again, functioning was not in the severe range at any assessment. Variables such as age at the time of abduction and length of abduction were only minimumally related to parent or child functioning.

THE FAVORITE PAST TIME

Everyone have their favourite past time like something happen about themselves in 1day, that they like most. It is also happen to me. My favourite past time is my family and i were going over sea, Italy. I was very happy because can follow my father to go to Italy for work in 2 years. We went to Italy in January 1996 and went back to Malaysia in December 1997, I was 8years old in that time. We were so excited to fly with MAS. We had a special seat that the government spent to our seat. The aeroplane was stop at Frankfurt, Germany for a few hours because we must change the flight with aeroplane from Germany. We were arriving at Rome, Italy in the morning and we went to the hotel before we got a house for living there. My mum was pregnant 5month while we were going there and my younger sister was born in Italy. At Italy, there had 4 season such as summer, autumn, spring and winter. I like when in the spring and winter season. The weather was so cold when in winter. 1day, snows were drop at my home in the town. It was so beautiful. I went to many places at Italy like PISA, Geneva, Rome, Toronto, Venice and the other beautiful place. My sibling and i were studying at school at hat the government spent for the children who follow their father going there. Our uniform was freedom and we also learn how to swim, how to play basketball and had IT class. My sibling and i were happy because met many new friends along lived at Italy. When we were already going back to Malaysia, we were upset because we want to leave Italy in that time. We felt like to live more day that. That’s my favourite past time.

Landslide Facts

A Landslide is a descent mass of earth and rock down a mountain slope.  Landslides occur in every state.  The Appalachian Mountains, the Rocky Mountains and the Pacific Coastal Ranges some parts of Alaska and Hawaii have extreme landslide problems.  Any area composed of very weak or fractured materials setting on a steep slope can experience landslides.  Landslides usually occur without warning.  Landslides may occur when water or melted snow sink through the earth on top of a slope.  They also may occur when water seeps through cracks and spaces of sandstone and the layer softens.  If the support is weakened, the mass of earth and rock slide down along the layer.  Some landslides move slowly over years and cause little destruction.  Earthquakes and volcanoes can also cause severe, fast-moving landsides.  Landslides affect structures in nature.  Landslides can pull down buildings.  They can also affect plant-life and the environment through which a slide occurs.

Landslide Effects on Buildings.

Landslides affect buildings.  As pressures on the ground increase, so does the likelihood of buildings being ruined.  Landslides can occur where terrain has been altered by man or geologically, including roadways.

the funniest moment that i have ever experience in my life

Last 1996, my father was work as a navy at TLDM, Lumut, Perak. TLDM had a project team work at Italy for made new ship at there and TLDM sent few navy who are bachelor or was married. my father's name was listed to going there. so, my family was excited to follow my father. we were prepared to go to Italy by 1month. we lived there around 2 years. when we arrived there, we were very happy because it was our 1st time going oversea. my sibling and I studied at school of Malaysian students. at school, I met with many friends who are follow their father for same job. i have a special friend, zaimah but she is so quiet girl. she never believed in herself. she never believed that she was capable of success. as a result, she never put in her best effort to do anything, even in her studies. she thought of failer frightened her. somestimes, her mother would ask her to mop the floor. zaimah would start with zest, but halfway through she would give up saying that the work done was not satisfactory. she was not an active person like my others member.
one day, our school had camping near a forest. everyone chipped in to put up the tents. zaimah and i were sent to look for firewood. we went together into the forest because the other were busy with their work given done. after getting firewood, we tried to find our way back to the camp.but after walking around for about half an hour, we realized that we had lost our way!!!
suddenly, we came face-to-face with a bear. the animal looked ferocious. what a fright we had! we start running. it was 1st time i swa zaimah run so fast! there were many trees around we. with thwe bear so close at zaimah and me, we had to make a quick decision. gathering all our strenght we had, we climbed up the nearest tree. we were saved! after a while, the bear went off in serach of food we though. our face were so scared about the incident.
when we arrived to the camp, we told what happen justnow. the other friends were laughing when heard our story because the bear that we story was not real animal, it was our friend, hilmi. he want to scared zaimah, not me. but zaimah and i were afraid about the animal justnow. it was so embrassed for me.
hilmi want make zaimah as a active girl and more friendly with friends. zaimah was ashamed with all her friends.
from that day onwards, zaimah was quite different person. she become more confident. now, when we met in gathering, she always embrassed with the memory. that is one of my funniest moment in my life when i lived at oversea
